Marta was born and raised in Spain, in a very small town called Illescas. Teaching is one her passions, and as soon as she earned her degree in Educational Science, she decided to engage in her love of travel where she has learned and grown through opportunities teaching in Sweden, Ireland and Mexico just to name a few.
Her father introduced her to the fascinating underwater world of diving when she was 18. Since then she has been an active diver, diving whenever the opportunity to blow bubbles underwater arises, looking for nudibranchs and small creatures.
In 2021 she decided to combine her love of traveling and teaching with her passion for diving. It was in Utila where she found the way to make her dreams come true. Though she had only intended to stay for her PADI Divemaster course, the island, and its people captivated her enough to pursue the PADI Instructor Development Course and then her Master Scuba Diver Trainer. Immediately after finishing her MSDT she began to teach and guide aspiring divers through their first underwater experiences.
Nothing quite brings her as much joy as she gets when she sees the faces of our PADI Open Water Diver Students as they experience the vibrant underwater world for the first time her in the Bay Islands. Though one day she intends on diving in all the oceans of the world for now you can find her teaching all courses in both English and Spanish at Underwater Vision.
